Guinness Affogato

If TikTok’s taught us anything, it’s that Irish-Chinese food (see: curry sauce on chips) may sound weird to us Aussies, but it tastes damn good! So, what if we applied that same thinking to Irish-Italian goodness? Check out this Guinness Affogato.

    • 150ml Guinness
    • 60ml coffee
    • 1 cup vanilla ice cream

      First, you’re gonna want to get a glass in the freezer. If you’re in a hurry, put some water and ice in it and it’ll chill quicker. 5 mins should do the trick.

      While you’re doing that, prep the ingredients. Put your ice cream in the fridge so it’s not rock hard and make your coffee.

      Then, open your Guinness slightly to get some of the nitrogen out (not super important, but if you have Irish friends around, they’ll respect you for it).

      Now, in your glass of choice add the ice cream. We made a little well in ours so it looks nice and aesthetic for the‘gram, but you don’t need to. Then pour in your coffee, Guinness and get stuck in.
