Quick Kahlúa Affogato

That’s okay! While you mute that jet-setting friend’s IG stories, we’ve got the perfect affogato recipe that’ll transport you to Italy for a fraction of the price. Here’s how to make it.

    • 15mL Vodka
    • 15mL Kahlúa
    • 100g chocolate (for melting)
    • 60mL espresso (about 1 shot)
    • 3 scoops vanilla ice cream

      Get your choccy in a microwave-safe bowl and zap it for 30 seconds. Take it out, stir and repeat until melted.(Look, it’s a bit tedious but honestly so worth it).

      Once it’s nice and melted (yum), flip your glass over and dip the rim into that liquid gold.

      Now, get your espresso ready. You could use instant or French press, but prepare to be cancelled by Italiannonnas.

      Put two scoops of ice cream into your glass, and then pour in the voddy, Kahlúa and espresso (saving a little bit).

      Add your last scoop of ice cream and top with the remaining espresso.

      Finish with some shaved choccy for a nice little touch. Bellissimo.
