I cracked this open for the wife's birthday recently, and it was awesome. I bought this on a whim as I really liked the description and wanted to try some Australian producers, and it was seriously like Xmas in my mouth. The perfect company with the bourbon chocolate cake my wife baked for her birthday, made even better because my wife doesn't like whisky and so I had to have hers too. The only downside is how small the bottle is. I never thought I'd have a "this one's only for special occasions" spirit, but for right now this is it.

Bought this as a special treat and it's Christmas in a bottle. Vanilla/Brandy Custard on the nose, Super rich mouth feel, can definitely pick up on the port as well dried fruit and a slightly nutty note(?). Would like to try this in the Cask Strength on day. Of course senses are totally subjective so what I can smell and taste might not be what others can perceive.

This was a fantastic taste sensation, so smooth and the port flavour was a great addition.

Full-bodied but super smooth; easily beats most premium, single malt Scotch whiskies. Beautifully nuanced port overtones. A real world-class gem.

Got this as a gift. My first taste of Australian single malt whisky. It’s strong, full of flavor, smooth and has a very long finish. For $170 and at 500ml only, i would try to drink this on special days only as a treat.

I’m no expert on whisky and won’t try and give you cinnamon, caramel with a hint of gypsy spice description, which I usually find a bit condescending, like my nose or taste receptors are missing an important software update or something. I have tried a fair few whisky’s from Tasmania and for me this is hands down the smoothest, tastiest whisky I have had the pleasure of drinking. It is fairly strong on the port taste but so smooth. I usually like Helyers road, Sullivan’s cove and Lark but this is roads ahead, in my opinion. Price per litre is a bit high. Can’t recommend highly enough.
