Liqueurs (also known as cordials) are infused and sweetened liquors. Bursting with flavour, these spirits have been long used to elevate drinks and have become a pivotal part of cocktail culture. A total tasty treat to serve on its own, you can also try adding liqueurs to your favourite mixer, cocktail, or even pour over desserts for that unique flavour flair.

What is Liqueur?
Liqueurs are alcoholic drinks made from distilled spirits, often brandy, rum, and whisky. The spirits are boosted with extra flavour from ingredients such as fruits, herbs, nuts, flowers and spices, and sweetened with sugar. The most popular liqueur flavours include orange, coconut, coffee, and chocolate from brands such as Kahlúa, American Schnapps and Irish cream. All are great places to start if you’re new to the world of liqueur.
History of Liqueurs
Liqueurs were originally made for medicinal purposes and used to extract certain properties from herbs, fruits, flowers, and more. Eventually developing into an art form of its own and becoming known for its enriching flavour, liqueurs evolved to be used in drinks and transitioned into the cocktail world we know today.
