Hot Honey Peach Cocktail

Ever invited to a fancy-pants party and can’t figure out what to bring? Cheese is accounted for, wine too, and there are just too many allergies to DARE make a cake. When this happens, don’t stress - just remember this cocktail recipe that’s sweet, fresh and (obvs) a lil bit spicy.

    • Half a peach, pitted and chopped into cubes
    • 45mL gin
    • 2-3 sprigs of fresh basil
    • 15mL hot honey
    •  25mL fresh lemon juice
    • Handful of ice
    • Mint to garnish

      Chop up your peach, then add to a shaker with the hot honey, lemon juice and basil.

      Muddle that bad boy by pressing the ingredients and stirring. If you don’t have a muddler, use a spoon. This gets all the flavours loose and mixed together.

      Add the gin and shake it like your mum’s fave T-Swift song.

      Then, pour into a glass. For best results, double-strain your drink by pouring into one glass, washing the strainer (throwing out the muddled ingredients) and repeating.

      Serve over ice with a little mint for that final touch.
