The Rutherglen Estates Muscat is considered to be a "Young" muscat in that it doesn't have the barrel age of many of its contemporaries (marked as "NV"), but even without the long cask life it's close the most enjoyable muscat I've ever had, only exceeded by a few very old and premium drops. At under $20, it's unbeatable. It's smooth and sweet, with a lovely slightly nutty raisin taste, and just goes down really nicely. It doesn't quite have the complexity of some other muscats, but the slight lack in complexity is more than made up for in taste. Beautiful bouquet and a delightful syrupy mouth feel. Delicious!
