It is red. And a refreshing drop. Like a great wallpaper, you'd hardly notice, seamlessly enjoyed by the palate and sipped with or without food...

I have only recently discovered the Cullen range of wines and I am slowly working my way through them. This is harder said than done, as finding them quite hard to source. Love the fact that they are biodynamic. My wages don't stretch to bottles over $100 very often. But I do LOVE wine, so on occasion I will splash out and treat myself (well have to share with hubby!). Recent birthday treat and brought two bottles of (what I would call) expensive wines. One was this bottle and the other was an $80 bottle of French wine (2016 Lucien Muzard Santenay Faubard). I really loved this Cullen wine and it was sooooooo silky smooth in the mouth. Really delicious. But really NOT worth $130, especially as the cheaper $80 French Muzard was far superior in quality and taste. I am feeling a little disappointed that it wasn't as fabulous as I had been led to believe. I am glad I tried it but won't buy again. Will keep on with the cheaper Cullens instead.
