If you are unable to produce an approved proof of identity document, the delivery driver will not be able to complete the delivery. The delivery driver will be prompted by their driver app to return the goods to the store.

BWS takes its legal obligations seriously. This is why we have processes in place to ensure our delivery partners and their drivers comply with alcohol sales laws when delivering orders, particularly by checking delivery recipients' proof of identity documents. This robust process allows us to monitor and govern compliance.

The personal information collected and stored from the delivery recipient’s ID includes the recipient’s name, date of birth, ID type and expiry date.

The personal information collected by our delivery partners’ drivers (mentioned above) may be held, retained and stored securely by our delivery partners in accordance with legal requirements for a reasonable period of time. The scanned image of a recipient’s ID is deleted within a reasonably practicable timeframe after the recipient's age has been verified, unless a longer period is required by law.

Acceptable evidence of age documents include:
- a driver’s licence issued by an Australian state or territory, or another country
- an Australian or foreign passport
- a Photo Card issued by the Commonwealth or another state or territory
- a Proof of Age Card issued by the Commonwealth or another state or territory
- a Keypass Identity Card (issued by Australia Post)

We may allow the use of a digital ID in the states and/or territories where it is permissible.

If you are unable to produce an approved proof of identity document, the delivery driver will not be able to leave the alcoholic items with you and will be prompted to return the goods to BWS.

In order to receive an alcohol order from BWS, you will be required to present an approved proof of identity document to verify your identity and that you are 18 years or over. If you are unable to produce an approved proof of identity document and the delivery driver does not collect your personal information, they will not be able to complete the delivery. The delivery driver will be prompted by their driver app to return the goods to the store.

There is a flat $10 fee to use our delivery service, with no minimum spend to qualify. As we use locally sourced drivers with limited carrying capacity, there is a limit of 10 boxes per order for delivery.

That's easy, you tell us! If you are in a hurry we will let you know the estimated delivery time in your area or you can schedule your order to be delivered up to 7 days in advance. Simply select a time and date in which you want it delivered and we will ensure it arrives within 60 minutes from your selected time.

Absolutely. We'll send you updates from the time your order is placed, right through to when your order has been collected and is on its way. For those of you wanting up to the minute updates, we provide real time driver tracking so you can follow your order and find out where it's currently located.

On the off chance we're running late, we'll contact you and let you know your revised delivery time.

Your order can only be delivered to the recipient's name as shown on the order or a person who is at the delivery address you have nominated. Our drivers will check photo ID upon delivery to ensure the recipient is 18+.

If you are ordering within South Australia, the recipient will be required to sign a declaration confirming their name and that they are over 18+. If the recipient looks under 25 their name, date of birth and ID will be recorded.

Someone over 18 years with valid photo ID must be available to sign for your order. We do not deliver to post office boxes and can not leave any order unattended.

Certainly, we understand things change, so we try to be as flexible as possible by allowing you to request a new delivery time - right up until a driver has been booked and is heading to the store to pick up your order. Simply login and navigate to the order you'd like to change to request a new delivery time.

In the unlikely event that your order has been damaged in transit, we will do our best to assist you in replacing the damaged items in your order. Please contact our friendly Customer Service team as soon as possible.
