Matcha Beer

Layered, citrusy, and a little chaotic teacup without handlebeer mug This one’s earthy, a little foamy, and unexpectedly addictive. We’re layering matcha with a crisp beer for a special kind of harmony.

    • 1 tsp matcha powder
    • Hot water
    • 1 tsp honey syrup
    • Squeeze of lemon juice
    • Chilled Japanese Beer, like Monsuta 
    • Garnish: Matcha dust

      Sift your matcha powder into a bowl to remove any clumps.

      Whisk your matcha with a splash of hot water until smooth and frothy.

      Add honey syrup and lemon juice, and whisk again.

      Crack open your chilled beer and pour it into a tall glass.

      Slowly add the matcha mixture over the top to create a two-tone effect.

      Dust the beer froth with a little matcha for good luck.
