Tried it in Dan’s today on tasting and after even one mouthful I cannot believe anyone would even drink this so called beer let alone actually BREW it..... It's so sickly sweet it with nothing else going for it…. It was so sickly in fact that it almost made me gag and literally just tastes like someone’s taken a stock standard pale ale and dumped 5 litres of butterscotch syrup into it...
I'm getting so relentlessly fed up with all these craft brewers these days with their flavoured this and flavoured that and sour this and sour that..... These guys think they’re being so creative brewing all these different shoddy things to supposedly try and fit in with the current trends and meet the demand and all the rest of the rubbish they carry on with but all they’re REALLY doing is brewing these downright garbage tasting abominations that nobody in their right mind will actually like. You’re not clever and you're certainly not creative especially brewing up trash like this “Gelato ale”.
I drink a lot of craft beer and I can safely say this is BY FAR the worst craft beer I’ve ever tasted. Thank heavens I only tried it on the tasting cart and didn't buy a four pack..... I’d drink Fosters light ice over this any day of the year… I cannot recommend to you enough to stay right away from this one… Nasty!
Fox.

The dulce de leche is definitely not a winning combination for the ale.
