I agree with previous reviews that there is a little too much gas and fizz with the bottled variety but this is easily rectified by simply decanting back and forth a couple of times between 2 glasses. The gas soon then disappears. However, the worse thing about this beer is the horrendously over inflated price which Mr Murphy feels he can get away with because its an imported beer. If our German friends can sell it for $3.50 a bottle then why not Dan Murphy's?

We were really looking forward to this as a possible replacement for Young's Special London which Dan Murphy's has had the audacity to discontinue. Sadly Bombardier failed miserably, first there was a hint of malt and the second swig had some hoppy bitterness then both were totally overwhelmed by all the gas bubbling out. More like drinking sherbet than beer!

I drink Bombardier almost exclusively especially in the UK where it is available as a guest beer on tap. It has a very nice, some would say smooth, flavour and served at four degrees Celsius, is very refreshing on a hot Aussie summers day. I strongly recommend to all that they try this one, you won’t be disappointed.

a cracker of a beer … great balance of malt & hops …hard to stop at one ..great example of classic english bitter.. have with a good bit of cheddar …( just don't drink it too cold )

Amber in colour with malty tones, sultana fruit and a slight hop flavour, leaves a great finish. Great beer cold or warmer for more distinct flavour, my favourite ale just great.

Just right on the palate and not too much of the overdone herbal effect that the boutique beers seem to produce. Really enjoyable beer that tastes like a beer should. imho.
