Whilst I appreciate that French wines are generally lighter than the big robust Aussie species that I am used to, this wine disappointed. Started off quite well with some nice Pinot characteristics, but died notably the longer it went, and I ended up with something very average to say the least. I don't know if 2012 was a good year but when I think that for a little extra I could have had a lovely St Hugo or similar. This wine ended up thin and lacklustre .

I generally enjoy older Burgundy and bought a bottle of this to take to a party. It blew me away at this price point. It's only got 2-3 years I would think and needs to be decanted or put through an aerator for best flavour. Drinks beautifully after one hour in the decanter. We've now purchased 24 more bottles :-)
