Light-bodied, excellent wine for those special occasions...

IMHO a truly beautiful wine. Pinots do vary in my experience and not just as per the $ label. Case in point excellent Central Otago Reserve Pinot currently on shelves at Aldi (sorry Dan!). To be honest I do prefer a medium bodied, refined style of Pinot, perhaps more in the French style than some more robust full flavoured Shiraz-like styles. So for me this ticks the box, superbly elegant and polished with a refined cascade of lasting, concentrated flavours I have not the vocabulary or expertise to define in terms of ripe gooseberries, leather, tobacco or barbequed goat manure, but for me a triumph of winemaking from the New World. Congrats & cheers Rockburn. (Tasted the 2021 vintage).

Class. Bouquet is beautiful reminding me of spring flowers touched with berry. Smooth and balanced. Hard to stop until the bottle is finished. Sets the bar high.

A nice balanced pinot noir and an all time favourite. Definitely recommend!

A classic Central Otago Pinot Noir, richly textured with ripe plum, dark cherry, coffee, liquorice and sweet oak flavours.

As a go to Central Otago Pinot Noir, I have to say the 2018 release is disappointing. Doesn’t have the same depth of flavour as usual.
