Jim Irvine didn't make this wine so it was disappointing to find out that he hasn't been making any Irvine wine for a few years now. Why does the website say he did?

Had a dinner party with 5 merlots in the $20-$30 bracket , this was hands down everyone's favourite , full of mulberry and plum flavours as described by dans and a silky smooth finish has replaced grant burge hillcot as my new go to merlot

My friends all drink red wine, but I never have. I decided to get on the bandwagon and was recommended to try this wine. It is so easy to drink and tastes delicious. I'm looking forward to trying more from the range

I've had lots of Irvine Merlots over the years and they never disappoint. A perfect accompaniment to a roast lamb and a bottle I'm always happy to take when asked to dinner. The quality is always good and much appreciated by all who imbibe.

Irvine Springhill Merlot 2009 is a great starting point for a lover of quality Merlot Wines especially Australian Grown varieties. Winemaker Joanne Irvine describes this wine as a Merlot showing rich, plummy, soft, deep flavour expected of a premium Merlot. I agree with these short tasting notes from the Winemaker and have enjoyed several Irvine Merlots purchased from my local Dan Murphys over the past few years. My wish list in a 'Wine Lovers Life' would be to advance and enjoy other Irvine Merlot offerings sometime in the future and there are a few worth considering in a bucket list of wines to enjoy. In the meantime I will cherish my under $20 purchases of a few Irvine Springhill Merlot 2009 at Dan Murphys.

Few come close to the smashingly under priced Merlot. Softly textured and round mouthfeel the palate is brimming with plums and raspberries. Incredibly well balanced and approachable, this is just phenomenal!
