Quite good on opening, medium body, mixed berry palate with smooth sweet vanilla finish BUT let it breathe for at least 2 hrs and the dark fruits & depth come through, making it a very good value wine.

A very decent French drop for the money. Not overly complex, mediums bodied, typical dry red. Pairs well with food (steak, cheeses), makes you want for more when emptied (so better buy 2)

Really never looked at French wines. Always thought how good can a cheap French wine be considering its shipped half way around the world with Dan Murphys needing to make a profit? What have I been waiting for! This wine is beautiful. Deep, complex, smooth flavour. Amazing for the price. Really cannot fault it, equalivalent to many more expensive Australian wines. Looking forward to trying some more expensive French wines, exciting to think how good they may be. Try this as a starter, I'd be surprised if you are disappointed.

Superb red wine choc full of red & black berry flavours which delight the palate! Lovely Grenache & Syrah from the sunny south of France! Made by the illustrious Perrin family from the southern Rhone Valley! A beautiful red wine! Perfect with roasted or grilled meats, great with lamb! A delightful wine and great value!

This is a delightful wine, well structured and flavored with good colour, depth and blended complexity of flavour and a balanced dry savoury finish. The French blend to a style and are not, like us, hung up about single varieties (of course, you have to have the right varieties in the vineyard to work with). This is a style of red wine that we should be making in Australia and at this price point too. It is well presented and in an appropriate bottle. The big brother Ch. Beaucastel association should be a giveaway as to this wine's pedigree.
