Cherry red in colour with a lovely fine bead, a hint of cedar on the nose with a touch of rose petals. Aromas of plums, cherries and dark chocolate follow as it opens up. Starts off with berries on the front palate followed by dark chocolate and plums. As it warms up a little, the tannin softens and it really opens up with a gentle hint of cigar aroma coming through, reminiscent of a fine French wine! Improves upon opening and taking the chill off the wine. As it sits in your glass, it evolves into a viscous and delicious sparkling red that will pair beautifully with your Christmas pudding.
