My god this is so attractive right now. The fruit is so inviting and the tannin's are silky, but I have no doubt that this wine has the structure to drink well for over a decade. Lucky a bought a few bottles. Another cracking wine from these guys.

I'm just home (Melb) after 7 years in Venice Italy, consuming some of the greats, and not so. I needed to walk into Dans and see the progress or lack thereof. Amazing. All of a sudden, what should I buy, which grape, what winemaker, dither, dither, etc. Then, I found an old friend Yabby Lake 2022 Pinot by Robert and Mem Kirby. YES! Just the thing to dilute jetlag and reignite my taste buds for Aussie wine. I agree Jane Faulkner, 96 points! Gorgeous, layers of crimson velvety-ness, easy-going tannins and dark cherries, ala the great sangiovese types I left behind - lashings of Carson's winemaking penchant. I'm back home!
