This wine loves some time to breathe. Decant for 45~70 minutes and it is ready to be enjoyed. Or you can pour a glass and speed up the process a little with some swirling. Your nose will tell you when it has opened and then enjoy. It doesn't like too much time in the fresh air. Deep in colour and body, bold plum & berryies lavish the palette along with mild spice & peppery notes. A very complex Shiraz that punches far above it's weight. I haven't enjoyed a Shiraz under $50 a bottle for a long time. Reminds me of the 2002 & 2004 Wolf Blass Grey Label or a 2004 Patricia. Best enjoyed with bold flavoured dishes such as red meat, Italian, Mediterranean etc.

Loved the 15 and 16 vintage. Unfortunately the 2017 has little resemblance to what was one of my favourites. More a $12 wine now. Looking for something new now.

Smells good, it taste better and the more you drink it the more you enjoy it. And the couple we invited to dinner at home, bought a box of 6 the next day. Fabulous!

Agree with the single less-than-gushy review I could find for this: did not blow me away either, agree possibly too young needs more time, can get better for the same price. I purchased two bottles and the second one will probably hang around until we're desperate!

Orlando Lawson's Shiraz is at the top of my list but this wine is somehow reminiscent with its splendid and different after taste. I like a full bodied shiraz and this meets the bill for me.

This was like my perfect shiraz. A great full bodied wine with a lovely finish. Spot on, wish I had have bought more when there was a members special!
