I had reviewed another french Beaujolais on this site which is hands down the winner, however if I'm strapped for cash this is ALWAYS my go to red. Slightly tart on the first two sips, it then gets toasty and partners a good piece of red meat or even roast chicken perfectly. I call this my 'winter red', as it's comforting and goes well with winter comfort food. Have a glass by the fire with a cheese platter - you won't be disappointed.

This is a fantastic value wine. Perfect with a roast veg and couscous salad with some Persian feta. Great option for fans of the style. I'll be buying this wine again certainly. Great value wine, perfect for mid week dinner or a casual gathering :) I love it.

This Beaujolais from the Burgundy region in France is a fantastic alternative to any of our Pinot Noir lovers out there. Highly aromatic with juicy strawberry, some floral notes and a hint of smokiness. Fantastic easy going wine with enough change from a $20 to grab a wedge of Brie. Try pronouncing "Beaujolais" at the bottom of the bottle.

Weak wine , yet harsh on the pallet. Very high acidity with odd aromas. Even left to breath for 3 hours couldn't save it. Not overly surprised, gamay grapes are hard to process. Beaujolais wines tend to be great or terrible with nothing much in-between. Unfortunately this one is the latter.

After searching reds that pairs well with fetta and i came across an article about Beaujolais. Never had. Thought I'd give it a go, i did. First sip was the most weirdest experience. Sniffed it before hand and it smelt really lovely. Nice soft blackcurrants and cherry almost, but i never expected it to be, ummmm. As dry at it is? Sharp bite. Quick hits of the wine and also light oak but it goes away fast and dries out basically off the tongue. Very smooth like water. I can understand it would pair well with soft white cheeses like feta and goats cheese.

If you want to have a French red in the house for your house wine then this is a good choice. A light and easy wine to enjoy with your weekday dinners.
