First bottle we opened was corked, but Dan exchanged it without any problem. Big luscious wine masses of fruit. Will last a long time.

Having read the other reviews mine is going to sound pretty basic. As I continue my wine search this will reapear in my household, am not a great wine connoisseur. I only know what I like regardless of price. This left a lovely lingering taste in the month that makes you want to have more. I actually opened this late in the evening and enjoyed with some crackers and brie. Going to a friends house or out to dinner, this would be a good choice. So I suggest you buy 2.

Finally, a red wine that truly impresses. No cheap lingering after taste with any mouthful and wonderful with or without a meal, it was impressive. The bottle instantly presents as an elegant and classy choice upon handing to your host and the glass that follows is magnificent. Ive had cheaper bottles of Reschke styles before but this particular one leaves a lasting impression. I would definitely recommend taking this when not wanting to spend a great deal on a bottle of red but not wanting to arrive with a 'cheap' bottle of wine either. Your host will feel appreciated and all will enjoy a full bodied Cab Sauv, a perfectly "intense dominant wine with rich tannins". At Dan Murphy's price of $21.99, this is definitely worth the extra $5-$8 than what you may usually look to spend when selecting a bottle to take to share (or not to share!) Enjoy! We certainly did.

Normally try to keep red purchases under $15 as there is currently some great value out there in 2010 vintage. Accidentally put a bottle of Vitulus in with the regular Reschke cab savs and what a big surprise I got when opening this one. Welcome to the world of real red wine. In summary: a bit dear at around $20+, so value's out the window, but it is the best red wine I've ever tasted and I feel that I have now drank real wine for the first time. Great for special occasions / your next lotto win. Comparable with: nothing I've ever tasted previously, with Brand's Blockers being the closest of about 5 popular Coonawarras. Enjoy!

The original bottle was a gift and what a surprise it was. Probably equal to most 50-80 dollar bottles. A rich wine with a lovely nose and unlike many cheap wines a great after taste without any sign of adulteration or ethenol. I went to DM's to try to find it assuming I'd see it in the 'vintage' section and to my disappointment couldn't find it, only to see it on the rack for under 20 bucks! What a steal! Buy it but make sure you leave me plenty!!

Last year, one of Dan's industrious elves tagged the '07 vintage of this wine as the best value cabernet in the store. No arguement there. The 08 is every bit as impressive, albeit in a slightly riper more open style. Dan's accurate palate descriptors don't need repeating. This is seriously good winemaking for a variety that doesn't like the heat that was experienced. Cost of Bordeaux cabernet's of similar quality would be stratospheric.
