Long time fan of Kracken and loved the coffee Kracken even more. This one tastes like cough syrup.

The four stars is, well, see title. I would not drink this straight. 2/5 stars for straight. But mixed with cola it's great, 5/5. So I give it 4. Because you can make it good with a mixer, but the straight version is trash.

Don't bother: Cough medicine is cheaper at the pharmacy! It's packed with artificial cherry flavour.

I like a wide variety of rums, and drink them straight. Kraken is a favourite, but this one is only OK if you like cough syrup.

If you are into very sweet rums, then you will enjoy it. It has a nice taste at first, still some peppery tones, but with a sickly sweet taste, which after some time, it hit me that it tastes like a cough syrup. At first i thought I enjoyed it, but after coming back to it the following night, I found the taste a bit too sickly.. I like my rums to have a more raw flavour, so you know when it's hitting your throat. In saying that, I will still finish this one, but it might be my final tipple of the evening, like a dessert rum. Actually, I'll have to try it with ice-cream...
