A fantastic drop I came across by chance- well priced , smooth n delicious.

Being predominantly a whisky drinker, I have mostly been dismissive of wine. Still can’t justify forking out over $25 for a bottle. Lately though I have been sampling some offerings from France including this wonderful drop, and boy am I pleasantly surprised. After decanting for half hour, this went down like silk. Lots of rich dark fruits and berry notes with soft not obtrusive tannins and a short-medium finish. At this price point, you cannot go wrong. Easy A. Can’t wait to explore more old world wines.

This is a product that Dans has had for ages. I am a very devout fan. The blend is of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Usually a thing that within France would be a Bordeaux thing, but this wine actually comes from the other end of France - Mediterranean fringe - the Languedoc - Roussillon area. This is perhaps a great thing, as it is sold as such - not with the mark-up that the simple appellate of Bordeaux wines always entail. It is a great wine, formidable at the price point, comes in a stellar heavy-weight bottle. And it is truly french. If you want a bottle of french red, in a heavy bottle with an actual cork, and that is drinkable at a modest price, look no further.

I love a good Cabernet and Merlot blend and this one did not disappoint. An elegant and well-balanced red with soft tannins, perfect for the BBQ I went to. Domaines Paul Mas also just won 2020 European Winery of the Year, so I looked pretty good bringing this wine along : - )

An acceptional wine at extraordinary value at around $15 Full fruit berry flavours, great length and soft tannins make this a red wine for all palates. Very happy to take this along to a dinner party regardless of the cousine

This wine is as smooth as silk and well worth giving a go, it has well balanced fruit with a long and lingering fresh finish with hints of berries and spicy cigar box and and is typical of a good European red, the Merlot softens back the Cabernet in style. I would put this wine against some of the bigger names any day. Its a bargain at the price and good for any occasion. If you has always wanted to a give a Fench wine a go, try the Paul Mas Estate.
