I have drunk this wine over many years. I love Gamay and enjoy the unique characters that can come from carbonic maceration. Unfortunately this wine has moved to a more basic alternative. Standard red wine fermentation with added oak. Trying to be burgundy it loses its personality.

Smooth and a ‘light’. Paired well with good company and finger food at an afternoon gathering

Admittedly we love gamays. Still, I would recommend others give this a go. A very quaffable wine.

Perhaps best to avoid the 2020 vintage. We bought 6 bottles (not knowing it was the 2020 vintage that would be delivered) Harsh, unpleasant, metallic taste in both bottles we have sampled so far. Very different from all other vintages of this wine. Avoid the 2020. Hoping the 2021 returns to previous good standards.

As a shiraz fan I found this a nice light red to have with lighter meals. Very enjoyable

I was expecting a smoother wine. Starts well but doesn't deliver on 2nd note. 2019. Worth trying again - perhaps a different year. Or am I looking for a different wine. I'll ask George at Mosman.
