Would I drink this again? Yes. It's a nice and easy wine to drink with a lunch and/or dinner meal, period. For the price tag, there are innumerable of better pinot noir choices.

Deserves the Qudos it receives on any review. One of NZ best for under $100. Let it open up for 30 minutes if you can wait that long and it will reward you in spades.

Wow! From the very first mouthful this is one awesome Pinot. There are so many complimentary adjectives that come to mind, however I will just say "perfection". Is it any wonder that in 1995, again in 1996 and in 2001, Ata Rangi Pinot Noirs won the coveted Bouchard-Finlayson Trophy for Best Pinot Noir at the International Wine and Spirit Competition in London. (possibly considered the most prestigious competition of its kind in the World). This family owned and run winery has consistently strived for perfection, something that's not only found in every vintage of their Piont Noir but also in their Craighall Chardonnay and Lismore Pinot Gris. Supreme elegance!

Having spoken about this wonderful fruit laden wine for several years now with my Wine Buff neighbour we just had to buy and taste a bottle of Ata Rangi Pinot Noir 2010 from our local Dan Murphy's store. Wine Buff neighbour certainly knows about this wine having tasted earlier vintages in New Zealand while on holidays. Certainly hits the mark as his best of the best when comparing the Pinot Noir variety of wine. Sure we have tasted many splendid Pinot Noirs from Australian Shores especially from Tasmania and Victoria and yes these were also purchased from our local Dan Murphy's. Ata Rangi Pinot Noir may be the most expensive we have tasted but when you want outstanding quality be prepared to pay a bit more.
