Why buy expensive or even inexpensive bottles of wine for your own evening enjoyment when Stanley make such a brilliant quaffing wine available in cardboard. Eminently drinkable and not to be embarrassed about.

I find this wine a good cask wine, reasonable quality. Never the same as a bottle, but is so much cheaper too. A good alternative for the budget conscious.

This is quite pleasant although not the best red in the range, much prefer the Cabernet Merlot as it has a lot more body. A light red that goes well with pasta dishes.

Having tried just about all casks of red wine on the market I always come back to Stanley's shiraz cab. In my opinion this is the best cask wine for everyday drinking and certainly beats all more expensive 2 litre casks. It is smooth and pleasant tasting and a great accompaniment for unpretentious dishes such as spag. bol, osso bucco etc.
