Floral notes of lilac and apple blossom leading to a pronounced citrus punch of lemon/lime and white peach. Additional notes of lanolin, chalk dust/talcum powder, yeasty/brioche and fennel. Very complex. On the palate this wine has lovely acidity (think of an alcoholic key lime pie) with a consistent mouthfeel leading to a long mouth puckering finish. As an entry level wine from one of Australia's finest producers, this is an absolute bargain. I'd be drinking this now as it's delicious...but I would also throw 2-3 bottles in the cellar for a few years and see how they develop. Highly recommended.

Brookdale Semillon comes from Tyrrell's famous HVD vineyard which was planted in 1908. It nearly always produces Semillon that are floral, softer, and more approachable. The floral nose leads into a palate that is seamlessly balanced between soft Semillon fruit characters and a clean, light finish.
