Had been buying the Dubliner for a while. I find that a great drink to finish off the night. The Beenleigh was a Dans members deal, so I thought I'd give it a go. Not as smooth or sweet as the Dubliner, and not as nice overall. I'll be going back to the Dubliner

This drink would be somewhat reasonable as an entry level honey liqueur if it were at least 10 dollars cheaper so that it was competing against equally bad drinks. At that price point you'd accept the smell of paint thinner when you lift the glass to your nose and the unbalanced harshness of the taste, which seems to be both sweet and rough simultaneously, because you'd be filling the glass with coke to cover it up. But as a drink to be sipped on it's own I would steer well clear. Wild Turkeys American Honey at the same price is a vastly better drink if you don't mind switching rum for bourbon.

Very Smooth, great on the rocks. Exceptional Rum - great mixed with the Beenleigh Fortified Rum

After reading all the good reviews I had to purchase a bottle. Unfortunately very disappointed it has a chemical smell and taste. How could anyone compare Beenleigh to Zacapa and say it’s better. Zacapa is far superior completely different level. To get rid of this it will have to become a coke mixer.

If you are a rum drinker this is for you. Reminds me of Dubliner.

This is a very smooth drink chilled on the rocks or neat either way it goes down absolutely silky smooth!
