A funky and very southern French style with plenty of character, perhaps due to some whole bunch fermentation and likely some winery Brett. Not squeaky clean like most New World wines and sure its has some agricultural/barnyard funk but this adds to its complexity. Anyone who shirt-canned this wine should save their money (and the wines for others who "get it") and leave the great Chateauneuf du Papes and other classic southern French wines featuring Grenache, Shiraz/Syrah & Mouvedre on the shelf.

Tried this upon release, and it was juicy and fresh. Almost 12 months later and it tastes like it has more dead horse in it than the bedroom scene in The Godfather (as confirmed by others recent reviews). A classic case of Brettanomycnes partying on the wines residual sugar. Undrinkable - is to wine what brutalism is to architecture. Guillaume needs to test his wines more rigorously.
