Back in the day there were 3 great Queensland overproof rums, Inner Circle, Red Mill and Bundaberg Red Cap. After an absence of 30 years, the Bundaberg 33 OP has made a spectacular return and it has lost none of its old characteristics and traits. It has a slow burn and is perfect for drinking on cold winters nights to chase away the chill. The 33 OP is a well rounded dark caramel coloured rum with just a hint of spice and whack of molasses. It's mildly oaky flavour leads to a very potent alcohol nose, so don't bother trying to smell it, it will just singe your nose hairs due to it's 75.9% ABV. Enjoy this rum either neat, as a sipping winter warmer, or with a dash of water to take the edge off. Add coke and plenty of ice with a piece of lime on a hot summers day for a refreshing beverage. Despite it's potency, you won't be disappointed. Bundaberg Rum only did a limited edition of the 33 OP and when it is gone it might be another 30 years before it makes a come back. Don't miss this one !!

Very smooth with a particular blend. Only need a little but an enhancement of flavour. Recommended.

This rum is certainly the pinnacle of what Australian/Queensland rum is all about. Very strong robust tasting but quite smooth at the same time with quite a bold character being the basic structure. Not everyone will enjoy this rum because of its bold nature, but Queensland rum aficionados will certainly jump at the chance to savour this aged, refined quality product from Bundaberg . Absolutely rated a 10 out of 10.

Bit worried the higher alcohol level would upset the taste, from the normal O.P, but it improved it. Bundaberg U.P is a disgrace and it surprised me that the same company can make such great rums, yet stick to the U.P as their flagship

I pre ordered this. Was not disappointed. Bought a few spares as I want something to enjoy in years to come. I find it's best enjoyed after a long hard stressful day at work. Just a couple to ease the pain. It does that fast

A rich deep taste with a huge after burn, sorts out the men from the boys. still prefer bundy 280 for every day drinking.
