St. Henri Shiraz is an all time favorite of mine and the 2010 vintage is definitely up there as one of their best vintages.

A beautiful, beautiful red. If only l could afford a case of this l would drink it more regularly. A perfect wine for a special occasion

Penfold St Henri Shiraz (2010) has a divine characteristic. Most of the wine come down like a drink, however, St Henri has the unique characteristic that taste like Eating fine wine. (Hard to describe). The heavenly taste of the wine is one of the rarest that I tasted so far. Definitely a champion compare to most of the penfold grange.

This is one of the great shirazes ever made in Australia for the price . It can proudly stand next to any Grange , Hill of Grace , RWT , Rockford , Ringland , etc ,it is just a matter of preference of style not quality .It is above the 71, 76,90, 98 , 02, 04, 06, 08 by a longshot- I can't believe St Henri would reach this level. First night balanced with huge fruit smothering the tanins finishing long and firm , lively.2ND night fruit leaping out the glass blood plum, black fruit , licorish, tar , denser palate , tongue coating tanin now very assertive amazing length .3RD night a repeat of the night before , still very fresh .You need a Doz and try every 3 years .A true Penfolds classic

I true example of how Shiraz should present. Vivid purple rim against a dark brooding body of impenetrable colour. Lush, ripe, sweet red and black fruits, blackcurrant and ripe raspberry goodness, the nose is just absolutely divine. Complexity beyond my appreciation, silky smooth tannins and a finish that lingers forever without any heat. Harmonious!

This is an Australian icon that should be considered above the Grange. The 2010 is out of this world! Please try for yourself and enjoy as wines of this ilk will not come along very often. Australian wines should be consumed locally and the secret should not leave our sun burnt land. Keep this a secret - please!
