I have had a lot of single malt, but I tend to always go back to this bottle. It is so smooth and enjoyable. Can't go wrong with this bottle.

An absolutely sensational malt whisky. I wish I could afford to drink it all the time! Will work for both those new to malt and the more developed palate.

First, I'm not rich enough to buy the whiskys that are more investment statements than anything to do with a good dram. Second, though, I do have enough cash to buy, as a treat, the Glenmorangie Signet. As a coffee lover, this is my whisky of choice. Glenmorangie close the distillery for a week in July to create the Signet. Its primary distinction is that the 'high roast' malted barley imparts wonderful flavours reminiscent of coffee and chocolate. Indeed, the Signet is often likened to a tiramisu. I also find spice and cinnamon coming through in the palate, and a good, although not lengthy, finish. It is a fine whisky and, with the packaging, makes taking it out of the cupboard and pouring a dram an occasion. There are a lot of excellent whiskys at reasonable price points, and I think the Glenmorangie Signet is about as close as I can come to the 'Everest' tier of whiskys. Yeah, may be it's base camp, but base camp is still very high.

Don't let the price put you off buying this bottle, it is worth every cent. Signet is currently my favourite of all the whiskies I have tasted, it has a uniquely full-bodied texture and flavour that no other whisky comes close to. This is truly Glenmorangie at its very best.
