Grabbed a couple from the oddbins barrel in Dan's on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. It's not a powerful shiraz but has nice fruit. Didn't cost much, is a pleasant quaffer and the label's nice.

This wine is a bit of an enigma, if you don't give it a 2nd, 3rd and possibly 4th tasting you may be lead to believe that it has no character. You would be mislead. This is a wine that grows on you. Things are subtle, yet the whole package lends itself to soft ambiance and laid back entertainment. Try it with a gently flavoured dish, maybe a lambs fry or similar. I think you will be surprised.
