Bought 2 bottles of this wine 29/11/2013 for under $10 a bottle. First glass impressions are: this is an excellent wine , even if it were $30 a bottle. It has a nice deep purple colour and on the nose it brings to mind leather and dark berries. In the mouth, again, it's dark berry fruit to the fore with hints of anise. Good persistence. Had it with a mixed grill, but it's medium-bodied so it doesn't need to be drunk with food, it would be equally as good on its own. Tannins are fine, it is an excellent example of the "drink now" style. I can .see myself buying a case of this stuff. Even my wife liked it.
