I had no problem with this blend of tempranillo and garnache. A very typical Rioja with long lingering flavour and great tannin. At 14% you can taste the alcohol and see the viscosity lingering in the glass. Good everyday food wine perfect with a steak.

It was quite easy going down, but at the point where a red normally warms you up and starts bursting with flavour (say 2-3secs in while rolling it around your tongue) it just seemed a bit hollow. It ended like a good red and started like one, but was somehow watery in the middle. I think it's really easy to drink and reasonably priced, but just a little emptier than I'd have liked. Didn't stop me drinking more though and I think it would satisfy a large cross section of red drinkers, although I'm not sure any of them would be calling it a favourite, most would drink it.
