For my budget this one is probably better drop than all the other that I have been drinking!

A definite enjoyable whiskey & even if you're not a whiskey drinker , try this one .

A nice, simple whisky that would be a good second step for people getting into whiskies or anyone who wants to take a leap up (without spending a fortune) from Jamesons, Bushmill or Powers. Probably a bit too basic for the experienced whisky/ey drinker but for everyone else it's a nice introduction to Teeling at a price that competes with he standard introductory fare but outperforms them in a very major way.

I was pleased with how smooth this whiskey is. Past experiences with harsh Irish whiskeys made me shy away from them, but I'm completely sold on this one.

I found it very complex by Irish standards. I don’t want to say it was “bad”, but there are certain flavours you expect when you buy Irish whisky (soft, floral, orchard, short bread, “smooth”). This was harsh, dark… I realise it’s finished in rum casks but it almost tasted like it had an actual table spoon of rum in it! Not horrible, I enjoy some of the more complex scotches, but not what I expected from an Irish whisky…. Approach with an open mind!

Lack of overall smoothness. Hard to get much flavour past the strong taste. This is a strong whisky, was hoping for more vanilla, malty flavours overall 2/5.
