Not a great wine. Not completely terrible but remarkably unremarkable. Slightly harsh.

Based on an in-store recommendation I bought this cab merlot. And it didn't disappoint. Lovely balance, lots of flavour, truly enjoyable example of WA winemaking authority.

This an easy drinking wine from the Margaret River region. I love a red but prefer one that has low tannins. That's what impressed me immediately about this bottle. It was also smooth and creamy to the palate. Let's face it, this red won't find it's way to the cellar. That's fine because it makes no pretences. A great drop with pasta or a barbecue. At this price share it with friends.

Thin with no tannin or fruit and has an unpleasant corky type flavour even though it comes with a Stelvin screw cap closure. Label claims 14.5% alcohol but when swirled around a wine glass it leaves hardly any clawing around the glass. Bought this on special. Very disappointed

This was a disappointment - merlots are generally not highly priced, so at the $13 to $14 point you would expect a solid, easy and flavoursome drink. This wasn't so. Slightly sharp (like it was too young but it's clearly not), decent flavour but nothing special. I bought a case of this as well as 2 other cases of red at a similar price point. This was for a party of 60 people. My guests voted with their taste buds. Wondering why we all didn't enjoy it as much as the DM reviewers. I have plenty of this stuff left, I will persevere in the hope that I will find a redeeming bottle. I must say it is a lovely looking bottle.
