Despite the reviews this is a well balanced red with better bouquet and body than the other gossips red range. It's our top selling house red and I've had no negative feedback from any of our customers. For the price point this is a winner. Just a shame the etiquette and bottle tops got changed as the look now resembles the price tag.

I would be hard pressed to use this as a cooking wine... I had really hoped the majority of the reviews were right, but they were not... Sadly Bin quality... or fuel your car...

I find this great value for money and without being special it is still enjoyable. It is a regular on my shopping list.

Value for money nice everyday wine drink with dinner

This is a very reasonable bottle of red that I use for cooking all the time. Taste wise you get what you pay for.

I have been buying the Cab Merlot and the Shiraz Cabs now for a couple of years. My wife and I have about 100 dozen great reds in the cellar but this is my day to day quaffer. Unlike a lot of the cleanskins getting around the consistency of the Gossips range seems to be well managed. Whilst it may not be a McLaren Vale Syrah I rate it tops at the value for money rating.
