Forty years ago, this was my introduction to the wonderful world of wine - my first real hint of vino's potential to enhance enjoyment of life. Now, with a lot of water under the bridge - and wine down the throat - I find it (2024 vintage) thin & bland on the palate, with the most remarkable feature of the finish, an unwelcome touch of sweetness, robbing the wine of what might have been a saving freshness. My tastes will have changed, regardless how much the wine has, and nostalgia plays a part with time. MB verdelho will retain a place in my memory. But today, even for those seeking a change from SB/SSB, it's not hard to find a better 2024 white for the price.
