Light flavour, suitable for many cuisines types. Enjoyable and light.

Pino's are some of my favourite wines and I normally go for cold NZ regions. So far in my 56 years I have never loved anything Taylors produced... until now. This Pino is exceptional. It has the deep pino earthy smell with light tannen notes that sets your mouth up for something harsh, but the moment it touches your tongue.. light peppery flavour, plum, deep natural but smooth tannins with well balanced acid, as it flows over your tongue. The aftertaste smooths out to sweet fruity notes that are honestly, remarkable. Right now I am drinking a glass to make sure I have this right, and the aftertaste continues shifting and now after two minutes, it's sweet. It has left a lovely warm feeling deep inside, and for me, this is the perfect red, not to harsh, not to earthy or tannin focused, not to acidic, and so bursting with flavor even a white wine drinker would enjoy it.

Drink predominantly reds like shiraz but I do dabble in Pinots. This is by far the worst I have tasted. Very acidic & lacking flavour, looked & smelt like cough medicine. Do not recommend- even my drain gurgled when I poured it down.

Well after all the rave reviews I was expecting something a bit better- not a bad wine but I felt fairly run of the mill pinot. In my opinion priced to the maximum. Probably won't rush out and buy it again. Ok for an everyday quaffer but in my view doesn't make the grade for a dinner party wine.

Very light refreshing red. Not too heavy as a Shiraz
