I've tried six or so bourbons in recent weeks within this price range and this one stands out as the best, though it's technically not a bourbon. I'm not an experienced whisky drinker but it's easy for me to identify the flavours and they are sweet and enjoyable. I like to drink it neat or on the rocks because it's so smooth. Well worth it.

Nothing distinctive about it. Very easy to drink as a daily sipper although I find better value in a Makers Mark which has a very similar mashbill. Glad to have supported an aussie and i'm curious about the cask strength but not getting any hopes up.

Upshot is a superb Australian style of bourbon unlike any other! I did the Whipper Snapper Distillery Journey Tour last week with my son in law Justin while in Perth and I found it amazing. So easy to drink, smooth on the palate yet still interesting to taste! Cask Strength of course is next level knock out at 63% but the flavours are still great and still reasonably smooth. Normal Upshot is just so nice it is actually dangerous! Delicious, and highly recommended! PS - anyone visiting Perth should visit Whipper Snapper in East Perth - very very good distillery.
