I liked this hopy pale ale so much I took up BIAB brewing to try and emulate it. Even if I only get close to it I will be very happy. The bitterness is not too high and the citrusy / Mellon nose follows through to the front of the pallet nicely with an even level of light malt back ground.

This pale is by far the best pale I have ever had. The flavours are blended nicely and the taste is amazing.

Coming originally from the UK I find it hard to find a bottled ale that really captures the heart, essence and taste of draught ale. This one just nails it - fruity, hoppy and flavoursome; and so well balanced - it's refreshing as it is complex.

Not sure about you, but I like to take a whiff when I try a new beer, and straight away I could tell from the aroma that I was going to enjoy this one. Great pale ale, crisp tasting and not heavy on the palate. Good for a quiet sip or a few or more around the dinner table.

This has everything that you want from an APA, big bold hops, and a balancing caramel maltiness. The strong pine, grapefruit and passion fruit flavours are reminiscent of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, but in my opinion this beer is even hoppier, making it a hop heads delight. We really don't have a better APA here in Australia for the price. $60 is a bargain for the quality of beer you are getting with this. With the Tower 10 IPA being the same price, and Little Creatures being bought by Lion Nathan, Karl Strauss offerings have become my go to beers and they never dissapoint.

This is by far the best of the USA Pale ale's I've come across at Dan Murphy's. The hop flavor and aroma are even better than my beloved Sierra Nevada Pale Ale! However, I was sadden to be told by the staff that they probably won't stock it any more. Please say it ain't so.... Keep this beer coming!
