I am not an expert, but this isn't cheap $7 wine

Although I'm not an expert and reading from other less than good reviews for this one here, had to write a line. Purchased at BWS Chatswood, recommended to my friends and they loved it. Like one other review says, it could be that this one was up for grabs at $11. That makes aging-on-shelf case lol. Also, I enjoy 'The siding cab sav', not sure if that adds weight to be very positive about this one. Of course new to wine, but to categorise this one as cheap would be not fair - because I've tested other cheap pinot noirs and this isn't any close. Obviously, please don't take this review to compare this one to Penfolds Bin23 even at $19.

Pinot Noir

Blackcurrant like colour in appearance with subtle tanning edges typical of Pinot Noir. The nose is lifted and bright with strawberry plus red and black currants with juicy berried fruits flowing through to the mid-weight palate. The wine has lovely depth of flavour and whilst is a wonderful table wine and food accompaniment, this Pinot Noir also looks great after a short chill in the fridge on a warm day.
