I would recommend this to a friend!
Excellent full bodied wine from Masi. Dark plum red. Nose of vanilla and aromas of dark chocolate tinged with tobacco on the palate. Decanted an hour before dinner accentuated its best attributes. A dry, big, round, smooth and well balanced wine. Paired superbly with steak. I enjoyed this wine!

i love amarone, especially with excellent quality fillet steak italian style e.g. tagliatta di manzo, with olive oil & rock salt - amazing.
rich, fruity & lovely. it's the way they lay the bunches of grapes on trays to ripen like raisins which adds that unique northern italy flavours.
bit over-priced though.
