The original peppermint schnapps from Germany is called for across several cocktails and is 50% abv. Mentha from peppermint and ethanol (alcohol) are needed to give that intense fresh feeling expected of Peppermint Schnapps. This stuff was watery 18%abv, makes cocktails seem dull and is clearly an exercise in profiteering over quality. Dans buyer who accepted this knockoff is treating us as cheap gullible consumers to pass this off to.

Going to be honest here, at the time of writing this review, this is the only peppermint schnapps left on the market in Australia (and Dan Murphys are clearing it out). Unfortunately, this is a horrible example of the spirit. The brand is cheap and nasty, with the flavour barely hiding a rough, nasty texture and unrefined alcohol. This is only drinkable if you are going to hide it in a hot chocolate, but I would not recommend it for anyone who wants to drink it the traditional way (chilled and neat as a post-meal digestive).
