For a 15 year old single malt, I found very harsh compared to other single malts I have had

It’s definitely better than the 12 year old which is great, but wait until you try the 18 year old… even better again….so so smooth. Can’t go wrong with any Cardhu. I also like the shape of the bottle and the spout for easy pouring.

If you can only ever afford to try three Speyside malts... Macallan, Singleton and Cardhu are three that should never disappoint. The 15 yr Cardhu is a joy. Soft, smooth, and with a mild fruit/vanilla aftertaste. Yes, the price point is in 3 figures (While you get get a Singleton 15 Yr for $20 less and a Glen Moray 15 Yr for $35 less at Dan's right now), and that will dissuade many, but for a special occasion, why not give it a go! ...and find out what those extra few dollars buys...

When I come back to Cardhu it reminds me every time that it’s one of the best

The aroma and flavour are a comparison to the Macallan and the Glenlivit 18 year old. Smooth to drink with butter scotch and fruits on the tongue. Definitely getting a couple more botles to collect.
