I would recommend this to a friend!
Decant this and allow it to breathe. Poured straight from the bottle it is enormous with lots of wood tannin. After leaving a while, the huge wood notes softened and the powerful fruit showed itself. Definitely still a puppy, it will outlast me.

Special for my fiftieth anniversary July 27th celebrated in a Thai Restaurant. 20m in new American oak. 96% Shiraz 4% CS from 4 regions: Barossa, McLaren, Coonawarra & Magill Estate. VISUAL: Ruby Darkness with Smudges. NOSE: Too much tobacco, ripe fruits, blackberries, chocolate powder, all powerful. PALATE: Explosive, full-bodied muscle, chewy tannins, fruity, smoked and concentrated. The wine is edible so dense. Indescribable pleasure. Harvest 2013 got 100 RP. I saved 1/4 to compare with Castillo Ygay, I’ll post the result in that great Rioja that I gave 5 star last year.
