I would recommend this to a friend!
Had a whisky tasting evening recently with a group of friends taking in a wide range of single malt whiskies. Ardbeg An Oa Islay was a clear winner in a group of very good whiskies. Whilst I will always seek variety, Ardbeg An Oa Islay has earned it place on my shelf as one not to be without.

I like traditionally aged whiskey which clearly states the age of the whiskey Most Ardbergs in the market are NAS. Most NAS could range from 3 to 8 years, the colors in NAS whiskey are artificial. Just to keep up with demand distillers have gone the NAS way . I would go for ardbeg 10 , knowing it is aged 10 years.

Ardbeg An Oa is singularly rounded, due in no small part to time spent in our newly established bespoke oak Gathering Vat where whiskies from several cask types including; sweet Pedro Ximenez; spicy virgin charred oak; and intense ex-bourbon casks, amongst others familiarise themselves with each other. The result is a dram with smoky power, mellowed by a delectable, smooth sweetness.
