This sweet red vermouth is incredibly good. It could easily be drunk by itself slightly chilled, but in a cocktail, it excels. This vermouth lifts a Negroni to a new level altogether. It is expensive for sure, but it is so much better than the others that it is worth it in my view. Only small amounts are needed in cocktails so it last a long time. If you want the best, this is it.

This makes a Negroni great, have purchased this in Victoria but Dan Murphy’s in Launceston don’t stock it and said they could not get it I tried several outlets around Launceston until I found a small bottle shop who said they don’t stock but would follow to see if one of their suppliers could get it 2 days later they phoned me to say they had some being sent to them. If only Dan Murphy’s would stock it I am sure our friends and others would purchase.

I haven’t tasted a better Vermouth. It’s perfectly balanced and quite lovely even on its own. It’s the Vermouth of choice for Bartenders around the world for good reason & makes the best Negroni. Flavours of burnt cola, red wine, cocoa, spices, dried fruit, vanilla & bitter marmalade blend perfectly into one seamless taste experience. If you only have one Vermouth in the bar, this should be it. Very disappointed Dan Murphy’s have discontinued stock at our Mandurah branch but they were kind enough to do a transfer from another branch for me.

We'd previously been buying the Martini Rubino Vermouth (which we also quite liked) but decided to give this a try after reading the reviews. I highly doubt we'll ever stray from this one now! It makes a fabulous Negroni and my mother-in-law liked it straight, saying it reminded her of a really good sherry. We've already decided to give this to her for Christmas!

I drink this neat with ice. Its a great sipper. Flavour is sweet yet with bitterness too just as you would expect for this type of drink. I would say sweetness prevails whilst it is in your mouth but the bitterness lingers in your mouth after swallowing. It's fantastic and so rich and complex. And its great in cocktails as others have said. I've tried it with Tequila and it works!. I think it would work with just about anything.
