I love the original Desperado. The mint threw me off and I was sceptical that it would taste nice. The initial sip provided an interesting sensation. I didn't hate it but I didn't love it. The more sips I took the better it tasted. 2 bottles later and I really love this beer. If you don't mind your beer sweet. You'll like this one.

Sometimes you find that things you didn't think would go together actually do and other times it just confirms they shouldn't go together. The initial taste is not too bad but then the mint takes over and it is not subtle leaving an interesting but undesired after taste. Not a drink to share with friends if you want to keep them.

Ok. Honest opinion. Too much mint for me. Overpowering. It’s not horrible but I love the original. The hit of the Agave spirit lifts it beyond other beers. I feel this version gets lost in the mint that overpowers the other flavours. Should’ve just gone with the lime as a zesty addition. It would possibly suit a fruity cocktail lover. I like cocktails but not the fruity sweet kind. So while not horrible I probably wouldn’t buy it again. For those that like it more than I, it’s great to see more variety and I hope it remains for those that enjoy it.
