Disappointed. We really enjoy Philippines San Mig. This just tastes different. Missing its maltiness and doesn’t have the usual clean finish. Dans website says it’s Philippine sourced, it’s not. Bad Dans 🙁

What can I say about San Miguel, that sweet syrup like after taste that is cheap rice fermentation but it is an Asian beer so it’s to be expected. A very light crisp lager which when served cold on a hot day you would probably enjoy but not in any quantity. It’s a decent lager, I’m not a fan of the fermentation process with rice I think it kills the lager but if I’m enjoying a meal at an Asian diner I would sink a couple. It’s not my pallet but not the worst either. Am I buying a crate? No, would I sink a couple on a hot day if on offer absolutely but it’s not a regular every week lager for me.
